Elixir for Nourishing Joints, Bones, Skin, and Gut

Ingredients
  

  • 8 cups bone broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger root
  • 2 tbsp fresh grated turmeric root  I prefer the flavor of fresh, but you could use turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Research suggests it increases the potency of the turmeric by a LOT
  • 1 cup coconut milk Makes the turmeric much more bioavailable, plus it's a healthy fat
  • sometimes I simmer with a piece of lemongrass 'cuz yum, and also for the anti-viral properties

Instructions
 

  • While heating the bone broth in a pot grate in the ginger and turmeric.
  • Add the pepper and coconut milk.
  • Cover the pot and simmer for at least twenty minutes.
  • Play with the quantities until you find how you like it best. It's loaded with anti-inflammatory properties, esp if you use a lot of turmeric and ginger so don't be shy with those ingredients!
  • Enjoy!
